Status and evidence boundary

2026-09-15 — Phase 2, after initial foundation publication and before prototype planning. This receipt records the read-only auditor’s inspection observations, the current foundation source, and accepted corrections. The auditor inspected material but did not return a completed verdict. This page is not a substitute for that verdict, a fresh runtime verification, or a final publication receipt.

The initial published dist predates the final inventory additions. A final source-to-dist sync build is required. Older dist/current output must not be treated as the final corrected foundation. Accepting that correction does not mean the rebuild has happened; no rebuild, tests, or deployment were performed for this receipt.

LabelMeaning here
VERIFIEDA bounded inspection observation or a fact present in the cited current files; not an inferred operational guarantee
FINDINGAn observed discrepancy or a limit that affects acceptance
CORRECTEDA correction accepted for the foundation, with source-applied versus publication-pending state stated explicitly
UNRESOLVEDEvidence not obtained or a check not performed; not silently treated as passing

Inspected foundation and corpus coverage

LabelObservationEvidence and boundary
VERIFIEDThe inspected initial build emitted 13 Markdown pages. The rendered index title was “Simp: the smallest sufficient Websim stack — Simp”, and the rendered index body had no frontmatter leakage. Title/frontmatter handling rendered correctly in the inspected foundation output.Read-only auditor inspection of the current build, title/leakage patterns and contentIndex, as recorded by the integrator. Current YAML titles are visible in content/index.md, content/source-coverage.md and content/artifact-atlas.md. This is not an all-page visual or accessibility pass, and 13 is the initial build count, not a promised count after this receipt is added.
VERIFIEDThe 2026-09-06 corpus has an explicit map for its three Markdown originals, five images and two JSON records.source-coverage > Corpus inventory and its CHEATSHEET.md, PLAN.md, PRD.md section maps. The ten repository-root originals are the preserved source corpus, not files rewritten by this audit.
VERIFIEDFive publication image files are present in content/assets/; both structured records are present in content/records/. The auditor inspected copied records/assets and image-reference patterns.Exact filenames and explanatory destinations appear below and in artifact-atlas > Five images, five roles. Presence and mapped references do not by themselves prove byte parity or every image’s rendered quality.
VERIFIEDThe 2026-09-10 starter research is fused into current source pages rather than treated as a replacement for the older hosted-Websim evidence.index > First distinguish the product, source-coverage > September 10 starter source coverage, artifact-atlas > September 10 local demonstration inventory, and evidence-and-limits > September 10 historical receipts and corrections. The separate source is /home/loca/dev/simp-research-starter/websim-starter; STARTER_CORPUS_MAP.yaml records its inventory and assignment-supplied commit d12614a, not a newly checked commit pin.
FINDINGInitial publication and final source inventory are not synchronized. The source now carries inventory detail added after that build. The inspected build chronology and the newer inventory sections in artifact-atlas, source-coverage and evidence-and-limits. A correctly rendered earlier title does not establish that these later additions are published.

Five images and two records

These are the September 6 publication copies, separate from the September 10 media inventory:

Publication pathExplanatory home and attribution boundary
content/assets/websim-quickstart-poster-astra.webpworkflow and artifact-atlas > Quickstart illustration; no supplied generation record. “Astra” in the filename does not identify a provider or model.
content/assets/websim-full-stack-poster-grok.pngplatform and artifact-atlas > Full-stack record; generation attribution comes from the supplied record, not the filename alone.
content/assets/scope-1-play-now.pngscope-1-play-now; conceptual local-loop recommendation, not a tested app.
content/assets/scope-2-keep-what-matters.pngscope-2-keep-what-matters; conceptual access/record boundary, not implemented authorization proof.
content/assets/scope-3-play-together.pngscope-3-play-together; conceptual synchronization boundary, not network verification.
content/records/websim-full-stack-poster.jsonFull-stack record; readable field interpretation in artifact-atlas > Full-stack record.
content/records/scoped-posters.jsonScoped record; actual recorded provider is xAI / grok-imagine-image, despite the requested openai-codex route. Inspection statements remain attributed source history.

The relative publication paths are assets/<filename> and records/<filename>. The starter tree’s host-local paths are provenance locators, not public download URLs; its HTML/media are not claimed to have been copied or executed in the wiki origin.

Accepted corrections

CORRECTED — Inventory detail in current source

The current artifact-atlas, source-coverage and evidence-and-limits preserve the following distinctions. They correct incomplete inventory explanation, not prove new runtime results:

  • Physical files versus embedded slots: STARTER_CORPUS_MAP.yaml records 168 files / 34,800,940 bytes, including ignored historical dist files; 101 image files comprise 42 PNG, 3 JPG, 4 WebP and 52 SVG, with nine MP3 files. Embedded media and repeated references are not additional disk files.
  • Artwork versus derivatives and evidence: websim-stax/media/art/ has four Darkroom artwork identities (hero-darkroom, tray, drying-line, contact-sheet), each in PNG and WebP. websim-stax/dist/proof/ has 41 historical images: 24 chapter PNGs, 12 free-play PNGs, two final PNGs and three contact-sheet JPGs. These are not 41 new illustrations or newly inspected screenshots.
  • Narration and embedded gaming media: Darkroom’s full track plus eight chapter clips account for the nine disk MP3s. Its transcript, timing and attribution sources are websim-stax/narration/chapters.json and websim-stax/media/{cues,provenance}.json. Gaming’s eight MP3/transcript slots and four artwork slots are embedded in Gaming-Stax.html, not extra physical files. Tool-routing identifiers do not independently establish the underlying image model.
  • Vendor attribution: websim-stax/vendor/ contains 24 daisyUI CSS files, 52 Lucide SVGs, two license files and LICENSES.txt — 79 files total. All 52 disk SVGs are third-party icons, not authored research artwork. artifact-atlas > Third-party vendor attribution preserves daisyUI 5.7.32’s MIT notice and lucide-static 1.43.0’s ISC plus Feather-derived MIT obligations, with their source license paths. This is not a complete rights clearance for gaming embeds, narration or generated art.
  • Historical evidence versus present proof: websim-stax/verification.json, the engine test source, Blueprint report, print artifact and media-stripped audit projection are dated source evidence. The Blueprint report retains its eight warnings. None is promoted to a fresh pass, full-media artifact, complete security audit or current accessibility result.

CORRECTED — Final sync rebuild accepted; publication pending

The accepted publication correction is to rebuild/synchronize the final foundation source, including the inventory details and this receipt, before treating the foundation as corrected and published. The source-side inventory correction is present; the final publication correction remains pending at this receipt’s cutoff.

A later owner-controlled publication must establish that the intended current output includes the final source additions. Until then, the earlier dist or current target is historical build evidence only. This receipt does not claim a completed rebuild, a final source/output match, or live delivery verification.

UNRESOLVED — Limits retained rather than filled with inference

  • Runtime and access: No new hosted-Websim app exercise, signed-in entitlement/price/quota check, runtime AI request, multiplayer/reconnect trial, Nakama connection, or starter installation was performed. Static recommendations do not establish private backend choices, compatibility, capacity or production readiness.
  • Accessibility and interaction: Correct titles and absence of frontmatter leakage are not a keyboard walk, screen-reader review, WCAG conformance finding or usability result. Text alternatives and explanatory prose do not prove the historical bitmap or HTML experiences accessible.
  • Security: No fresh authorization, isolation, network-egress, generated-code safety, dependency-security or anti-cheat review was performed. Historical Darkroom sandbox checks cover their stated cases only; a local referee and same-page relay are not trusted network services.
  • Images and audio: No new pixel-level inspection of the starter corpus, image decode/quality acceptance, narration playback, subjective audio assessment or word-alignment verification was performed for this receipt. Metadata and historical screenshots retain their original scope.
  • Hashes, bytes and provenance: No independent digest/byte-parity verification of publication copies, embedded payloads or recorded starter hashes is claimed. Source counts and license notices are documented static evidence, not a cryptographic chain of custody or complete rights audit.
  • Publication and audit closure: Final sync output and live routes have not been verified here. The auditor’s inspection did not yield a completed verdict, so its observations must not be described as unconditional independent approval.

Phase boundary

At this audit cutoff, no three strategically different prototype approaches, selected strategy plan, or new showcase existed. This audit precedes that planning. The existing S1/S2/S3 scopes, three product lanes, six conceptual starter labels and three recorded replay examples are not those later approaches. The September 10 educational HTML demonstrations are historical inputs, not completion of the future showcase.

The required order remains: finish the foundation’s accepted corrections and final sync publication, then plan exactly three approaches, then build the authorized showcase. No prototype, showcase or deployment work is authorized or asserted by this receipt.
